research interestsI am a postdoctoral researcher in Louise McNally's project Natural language ontology and the semantic representation of abstract objects (Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia, HUM2007-60599/FILO). My Ph.D. thesis, entitled Ps in Motion and supervised by Henriëtte de Swart, Tanya Reinhart and Maaike Schoorlemmer at the Utrecht Institute of Linguistics OTS, investigates the semantic and syntactic role of P elements in motion events. I am generally interested in formal semantics, in particular event semantics, temporal and spatial semantics, event structure and the syntax-semantics interface. I have mainly worked with data from Slavic (Russian, Czech) and Germanic (English, Dutch, German) languages. Aspectual affixes in Russian and Czech summarises the results of my MA thesis (2002, Department of Slavistics, Humboldt University Berlin). |
