Theoretical interests

My main interest as a linguist is the study of the Information Structure (IS) of the sentence. 
Information Structure is a set of instructions that optimize the entry of data into a hearer’s knowledge store. These instructions indicate how the semantic content must be conveyed to the hearer. I am interested in the interaction between IS and different levels of the grammar: syntax, prosody, semantics, discourse. My work mainly focuses on Romance languages. 

At the moment I am working on the syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic properties of clitic-doubled subjects on a corpus of spontaneous spoken French. 

Corpus collection and annotation

The Nocando corpus. I have collected and annotated a multilingual corpus of spoken narrations in Catalan, Spanish, Italian, English and German for the study of Information Structure.
